How to Size a Fan Blade

NEED A FAN BLADE?
  1. Measure outside diameter of the fan blade (FB). (see diagram)
  2. Measure width of the FB. (the most accurate way to do this without a pitch gauge is to place the FB flat and measure the highest point from the edge of the intake side to edge of discharge side.) (see diagram)
  3. The rotation is viewed from the air discharge side (facing into the air flow). (see diagram)
  4. The bore size is equivalent to the drive shaft diameter. (see diagram)
  5. Mounting hub on discharge or intake side. (see diagram)
  6. Material that the FB is constructed of.
  7. Quantity of wings (note diagram displays four wings)
